The National Center for Korean Traditional Performing Arts provides classes of Korean traditional music and dance for foreigners living in Korea to help them better understand traditional culture through experience. The entire program will be conducted both in Korean and English by professional performers of NCKTPA and other lecturers speaking fluent English. The instruments necessary for the lesson will be leased during the class except for those need to be used privately (bamboo flute and dance shoes). On the last day of this 12-week program, participants will have a chance to give a presentation on the stage of NCKTPA and see congratulatory performance by performers of NCKTPA.

    Umyeon-dang (small theater / for opening and presentation)
 
    Janggu (Hourglass-Shaped Drum)
    Gayageum (12-Stringed Zither)
    Danso (Vertical Bamboo Flute)
   



Samulnori (Percussion Quartet)
Samulnori class is for previous janggu class participants or those with basic janggu skill.
   


Traditional Dance
      (Classes are subject to change or cancelled due to insufficient applicants, etc)
 
    30,000 won, covering whole lesson and costume, etc.
