The National Center for Korean Traditional Performing Arts provides Korean traditional music classes for foreigners who live in Korea to help them to understand traditional culture through live experiences. The entire program will be conducted in Korean and English by professional performers of NCKTPA and lecturers with experiences. The instruments necessary for lessons will be leased during the class except for Danso(bamboo flute).

GENERAL INFORMATION

- ┗ Spring Semester : From Mar. to Jun / 12 weeks (every Saturday 10:30-12:30am)
- ┗ Fall Semester : From Sep. to Dec / 12 weeks (every Saturday 10:30-12:30am)

- ┗ Gugak Training Center at NCKTPA

- ┗ Janggu (Hourglass-shaped double-headed drum)
- ┗ Gayageum (12-stringed plucked zither) beginner / intermediate
- ┗ Haegeum (Two-stringed fiddle)
- ┗ Samulnori (Percussion quartet)
Prerequisite janggu class or basic janggu skills required.
(Classes are subject be change or cancelled)

- ┗ 30,000 won, covering whole 12-week lesson.
