The National Center for Korean Traditional Performing Arts (NCKTPA) supports Korean traditional music & dance workshops organized by overseas educational and cultural institutes by dispatching performers of NCKTPA and supporting musical instruments in order to promote Korean traditional music.

1. ELIGIBILITY
- ● Organizations affiliated by Korean government in foreign countries. (Korean Cultural Center, Korea Education Center, etc)
- ● Universities with Korean Studies and music related studies. (musicology, ethnomusicology, etc)
- ● Organizations for overseas Koreans, local arts education centers with public interests.
- ● Duration
- - Approx. two weeks
- ● Lessons
- - Instrumental: janggu, samulnori, danso, gayageum, daegeum, etc.
- - Vocal: minyo (folk song), pansori, court songs, etc.
- - Dance: court / folk dances
- ● Instruments support
- - Instruments can be supported only when they are necessary for lesson in consideration of the budget.
- ● Time of Lesson: 4 hours per day in principle
- ● Application Channel
- - Korean organizations: Submit application to nearest Korean Embassy or Korean Cultural Center under Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism of Korea
- - Foreign Organizations: Send application directly to NCKTPA with official cover letter.
- ● Application Procedure for 2009 program
- - Application Submission Deadline: February 6, 2009
- - Screening: by February 13
- - Announcement of Grant: By February 16
- - Beginning of program: March 1
- ● Grantee should provide interpreter for the lecture and help the lecturer to get adapted to local area and living.
- ● Grantee should submit a report, activity photos, advertisement materials, etc. after finishing the workshop.
