Hallyangmu (Dance of Hallyang)
Hallyang refers to a man who lives in the countryside, enjoying nature after retiring from his government post. There are two kinds of Hallyangmu: one is a type of dance drama in which the conflict between a hallyang and a Buddhist monk, fighting over a woman, is described; the other is an improvisational dance without a fixed form. The second type is more popular than the first type, and in the latter a hallyang wearing a fine scholarly robe holds a fan in one hand and spontaneously creates excitement through his dance movements.
