Miryang arirang

Miryang arirang is a representative folk song of Gyeongsang Province. It is said that the text was based on the story, Arang, the daughter of the deputy delegate of the Miryang region, killed herself to keep her chastity after being raped by a tongin (a servant of the governor of a town). It is nationwide popular because of its bright timbre and simple melody.
