Ganggangsullae/JajinGanggangsullae
Ganggangsullae and JajinGanggangsullae are representatives of Jeolla Province folk songs. It is sung by women holding their hands making a big circle together. It is known that general I Sun-sin ordered the women to perform this play near the seashore to heighten his soldiers` spirit and to defeat the Japanese soldiers during Imjinwaeran(the Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592). Ganggangsullae is followed by Jajinganggangsullae which has faster tempo.
